Your child is halfway through their homeschool education! I bet they are just as excited as you are or maybe you a re a bit sad. I know I was when my son got to the sixth grade.? I cried during lessons for the first week. Here is a few of things your child should learn this year:
Science
- Learn to use the scientific method to conduct an experiment.
- Learn to use the tools needed to conduct the experiment. This means knowing the names, how to use them, and how to read them.
- Learn to conclude whether your hypothesis was correct or not This includes listing why it was correct or wrong .
- Begin to learn human organs, tissues, circulatory, and respiratory systems.
Social Studies
- Learn about and understand elections and how they work.
- Learn about and understand how laws are made and changed.
- Learn to create a time line.
- Learn about trade and how it benefits America.
Math
- Master adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using both long hand and a calculator.
- Learn and understand ratios.
- Learn how to find the perimeter, area, and volume.
- Master liquid and dry measurements.
?
Remember these are but a few of the things your child will be learning this year.
