In partnership with ArtsWestchester, Clay Art Center is opening a new satellite ceramic studio focusing on providing artistic opportunities to the youth of White Plains. The new classroom will be located in ArtsWestchester?s Arts Exchange building, right in the heart of downtown White Plains.
Students will discover the magical qualities of clay while handbuilding whimsical animal sculptures, creature rattles, coil pots, memory boxes and much more. Students will create weekly projects where they use their imagination, learn technical clay skills, and have fun! All materials and firing included.
Clay Art Center will administer the program, providing the full artistic and educational support of teaching artists and their technical knowledge. Classes will be held on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings beginning in October and will run for eight weeks. Those interested in registering for classes should contact Clay Art Center at 914-937-2047 or register online at http://www.clayartcenter.org.
