Rapper Eminem Has an Enviable Track Record

The disc contains 16 Eminem songs, and the listener can enter the inner world of the interpreter. Thoughts, frustrations and feelings are presented in an honest and straightforward manner, Marshall showing another side of Eminem, namely that admits he has a problem and seek help. The entire album focuses more on feelings and emotions inside than on the irony or social messages (like the previous releases).

In the following we will briefly review some of the Eminem's songs on this album:

"Cold Winter Blows" - it doesn't seem a good choice to open the album as the rapper adopted a motto like "Me against the World". Swearing a lot and many people (Jamie J. Fox, Mariah Carey, and Elton John among others) and then focussing on him for exaggerating. It makes you wonder: What is HIS problem? Eventually he admits that there are many issues to solve.

In "Talkin' 2 Myself" Eminem admits he was jealous on the achievements of colleagues (Kanye and Wayne). Kobe played the chorus is quite catchy; the song itself is an exorcism, the rapper putting his many existential questions."On Fire" is not much different from the other, Eminem's songs. This is a manifesto against critics who don't understand him. He seems tired of all and even his interpretation is being tired and full of grief. The sincerity of his feelings transmits intense pain.

"W.T.P." (short for White Trash Party) is a surprise-surprise: a dance anthem in which Marshall invites the world to a D12-style party. It is a light song, with a pretty good up-tempo, but which seems lacking that "something" that makes you move on the dance floor."Not Afraid" - may be the masterpiece of the album, the song is a carefully developed package that combines excellent production with emotional lyrics and clever rhymes chosen. Overall, it is a dark and thoughtful song that is focusing on the message of the album.

"So Bad" is one of those Eminem songs full of pure self-irony with old-school influences (probably thanks to Dr. Dre who participated in its composition), the track is full of jokes and the attitude that made ??him famous. The pace is lazier than the similar tracks from previous albums, but could catch you.

"Love the Way You Lie" portrays domestic violence and the presence of Rihanna on the chorus (almost ghostly) gives even more credibility to the piece. Excellent colaboration!Recovery is worthy of his title: may be considered a journal note because of his chaotic thoughts, but the album represents Eminem's artistic maturity and a step in his therapy: he admits he has problems to solve. The material contains several hits-to-be and only 3 pieces as fillers. Collaboration, sincerity and lyrical complexity are the delight of the album.
